Gunung Leuser National Park

Gunung Leuser National Park is commonly abbreviated TNGL one of the Nature Conservation Areas in Indonesia covering an area of ​​1,094,692 hectares which are located in two administrative province is one of North Sumatra.Bukit Lawang is mainly due to the easy access, located on the east side of the park. This national park takes its name from the towering Gunung Leuser with a height of 3404 meters above sea level. There are many animals and birds in the Mountain National Parks Leuseur, including: orangutans, white and black gibbons, leaf monkeys thomas, toucans, snakes and lizards months. The park is also home to the Sumatran tiger and the Sumatran rhinoceros, although it is highly unlikely it will be seen.
Many visitors come to see the orangutans. A brilliant experience can be found in the orang utan sanctuary, located on the edge of the park, a short walk from the Village. Here, you can usually find a semi-wild orangutans at the feeding platform. Feeding usually occurs twice a day.
However, life experience is really amazing to see the orangutans in the wild. To increase your chances, you should consider sleeping overnight in the park to get more in the Rainforest. You must travel with an experienced guide.
